Terms of use

The notes, the map, and the simulators are open to everyone, no account needed. Class features (quizzes, points, the journal, practice, the arcade) are for students in a participating class, joining with a code from their teacher.

Class accounts exist only through a participating teacher or school. The app is built for IB Diploma Programme classes, and class accounts are for students aged 16 and over. A teacher or school that introduces it to a class is responsible for doing so within its own policies and local rules for classroom tools, including informing parents where that is required.

Keep your sign-in to yourself. Use the name you go by in class, never your full name and never someone else’s name. Class names must be school-appropriate and need teacher approval. Do not try to get into another person’s account, share your join code outside the class, work around the usage limits, upload harmful material, put personal information about another person into the app, or interfere with the service. A teacher can remove an account from their class at any time.

What you write and draw here stays yours. By submitting it you give EduCS a limited permission to store it, back it up, process it (including through the AI feedback features you or your teacher choose to use), and show it to you and your teacher. That permission exists only so the features can function, and it ends when the work is deleted, subject to the backup cycle described in the privacy page. Keep personal details, yours or anyone else’s, out of posts and answers; the app is built so it never needs them.

The notes, questions, simulators, and artwork are the author’s own work. Teachers and students are welcome to use them for classroom learning. Republishing them, selling them, or building them into another product needs permission first; ask via the contact page.

Points, gear and streaks recognise participation and recorded progress. They have no monetary value and cannot be bought. Learning content stays open to you whatever your points. There are no point deductions in normal play. Any correction to an award is visible.

As a teacher using EduCS, you agree to:

1. Use EduCS and its AI features only for their intended teaching purposes.
2. Respect the app’s security protections and usage limits. Access only accounts and data you are authorised to use.
3. Report security weaknesses through Report an issue under Account, or through the contact page on educs.me. Attempts to bypass protections or exploit security weaknesses are not permitted.
4. Keep features being tested private until EduCS makes them public. Ask the owner’s permission before sharing another teacher’s material.
5. Keep students’ full names, email addresses and other personal details out of EduCS.

We may suspend access if these terms are breached.

We keep a record of when you sign in and which parts of EduCS you use, to improve the app.

EduCS is currently provided without charge, as it is. Features evolve, content keeps being added, and things occasionally move as the course grows. Outages are taken seriously, but uninterrupted availability is not promised.

EduCS is an independent educational resource. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the International Baccalaureate Organization.
